Emergency Grant

Our friends at The Dramatists Guild Foundation offer emergency grants that provide financial support for theatre writers, especially for those who are seeking assistance due to COVID-19 related theatrical shutdowns. Funds are most often used for necessary life expenses such as groceries, utility bills, and medical expenses.

Housing Assistance Grant

The DGF is also committed to preventing eviction and displacement among theatre writers and to helping dramatists rebuild their lives during the pandemic recovery period.

Dramatists can apply for immediate financial assistance with housing costs, including outstanding mortgage and rent payments, sudden increases to rent prices, overdue utility bills, outstanding costs related to moving, or credit card debt related to any of the aforementioned reasons.
